Orale!

Vinnie Veritas, very chingon name, and very chingon movie. The style of animation is very clean and very fluid in movement. To tell you the truth I hadn't ever heard a song in spanish in a NG animation before this, it's a fresh and differnt taste, especially since I can understand the lyrics, le cay muy bien a uno sabes? La unica cosa que le falto fue unos sonidos de ... oh wait >.< back to english: The only thing that was missing were some sound-effects, but you can spare those since the music compensates for the lack in a way. Awesome job Vinnie, esta flash si esta rete-padre.

Good sound quality on the music.

You could have seriously added some voice acting with the text, and a play button so people wouldn't miss anything when the movie starts playing by itself. This has a pretty good sense of humor though, the way I see it, the poop fairy is the bearer of morning breath.

Housewars!

Wait a sec that wasn't Theodore's original voice! Lol, very comical. That Toaster's facial expressions are loveable dude, hurry up with Episode 2 of Housewars already! >.< No actually... take your time and make sure it kicks as much ass as the first.

Someone set us up the paranoia.

Aw don't start the Nazigrounds thing again now Poopoo lol. I love the way you scroll down the portal and through the BBS in the background for added effect. You're absolutely right though Poopoo... THEY are hiding something... and that something is... hideous shitty entries that need immediate blamnation! >.<

Very nice for your first time around.

Hm strange thing about this pre-loader... the bar was full blue all the time, but the browser bar was actually the one showing the loading. You also said in your Author's notes: "This is my first flash movie (It's also a sprite movie) so don't expect too much from it. " How could you put down the caliber of some sprite movies like that? Rise of the MK is a great sprite flash, and Rigo's (Cheveloco) Megaman Final Battle and Bass' Revenge series is amongst some of the best sprite animation I have ever seen. You could even check out my bro and I's flash in NG under the name of "Kingdom Sprites" (I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Cheveloco's stuff though).

Anyway, the movie: Right off the bat you need to slow down the scrolling text in the intro. The paper piece with the text was a nice effect but it goes by way too fast. Next thing, you added a Crystal Chronicles song, you lose huge points on adding song from such a shameful game with such shameful music (yes I had a bad experience with that retarded FF for GC). In addition the fighting is much too fast-paced and repetitive. I have to admit though, your movie has some excellent effects like characters that have facial expressions and some pretty nice backgrounds. You even have a lil' Final Fantasy-ish map laid out and labeled, very nice. I have to frown upon you for using Sephiroth as a sort of summon... it's pretty tacky. At first I thought the flash me n' my bro made was a bit saturated in Final Fantasy music (even though Uematsu's compositions kick ass) but you clearly over-did it. All in all I have to hand it to you, pretty decent first-flash, just make sure you keep little defects in check, it's the little things that amount to something big and avoid repetition as much as possible. Oh one more thing, I noticed that you crammed quite a lengthy feature into the flash, awesome compression, I can't thank you enough for that.

Thanks for your opinion. I tried my best.

Way too funny.

Hm... a sandwich... that's quite a mission. That was a great picture of Vego btw when his eyes were half-closed. I love the "Haaaaam!!!" quote by the way. That quote is now as common to me as "all your base are belong to us" awesome job.

To tell you the truth, this lacked a point.

You didn't add a pre-loader or a play button, you lose points there. The fat guy looks a lot like Louie Anderson, lol. I don't know what's up with the steaming pile of poo with the pills but it's quite original. The way you zoomed into the pills actually added a pretty good effect of suspense kind of like "dun dun dun" music does to a movie. I somehow knew that piece of yellow doo doo would be the one dropping a flower for that guy on the grave. This animation was sure long.

Funny, pretty funny.

You kind of over-did it at the end, but... This had a pretty unique sense of humor to it. As loud as the audio was in some bits, I'm amazed the mic dealt with it so well, nice job on recording that. You get a pretty good score on this from me because it was a bit funny. I think I know which comercial you're trying to mock, sounds like the California cheese one with the "Ah, the power of cheese" catchphrase.

TJ responds:

Yes, you speak of the correct catchphrase. My mic did not last very long after this cartoon, RIP my little mic.

Ah, you used the piano version, nice.

A keyhole as the loading projection? Very original :D and very fitting. As far as the rest of the movie goes, asbolutely superb sound, visual-quality, and style.

So-so and so on.

The story of the violin in the beginning is interesting, but you lose points when it shows that you (or the person that originaly created this) did not check your grammar for typographical errors thoroughly before submitting this. You didn't necessarily cut the violin and add it to flash correctly since the white outline around it coulbe easily be seen, it made it look very cheap and dropped the quality down another notch. Next time, try using the blur tool. I thought the music sounded familiar... it checks out: "El Mago de Oz" very nice. At first the art quality was a tad on the poor side, but the drawings of the characters looked pretty clean. In regards to your Author's notes: I thought this movie wasn't dedicated to the girl anymore? If that is so, then Why did you let the captions in the end stay? I am theorizing that this could be so you can let others show this flash to a beloved one if they want. Anyway, pretty decent movie over-all, not too shabby, you get a pretty decent score, of 3/5. Looks like it'll survive.

RadiCalvo responds:

He says:
With the grammar problem I'm Mexican, so the english it's not so easy for me, really sorry in that, the problem with the images (the violin) it's to make kind of "realism" because the principal part of the animation was the moon and the violin, I'm not very skilled in drawing and when I made this movie I was under time pressure and only worked well "my" character and the girl, about the music, yes, It's "Mago de Oz" I'm givin the proper credit in the profile of this movie, and the violin is a very remarcable instrument in the band, so I took this song (La leyenda de la Llorona) for this animation, It's the best critic I ever saw! I promise a better movie next time!!

Thanks!

Till Kingdom Sprites come.
